The goal of our preschool program is to challenge each individual learner to reach his/her greatest potential. We provide an eduacational climate that fosters physical, emotioanl, social and intellectual development. We beleive that children learn as they explore and experience things. Our program provides "hands-on" activities, rather than lecturing. We help children get ready for kindergaten by encouraging their social and self help skills. We strive to instill a love of learning in all of our students.

The classroom is set up into a variety of learning centers. Projects and equipment are rotated based on monthly themes.

Art - Numerous open-ended materials are available throughout the day, including a special daily project. We encourage each student's creativity and pride in their artistic acheivements.

Pre-Math - Our class preschoolers learn pre-math skills best through fun, "hands-on" games and equipment that teach counting, sorting, patterning, and sequencing. Children will enjoy number games, estimating, measurement, graphing, classifying and an introduction to adding and subtracting.

Language - Children discover written language through teacher directed and child selected activities. We read stories, do dictation activities and provide various mediums for writing. When your child shows readiness and interest (this is key), we explore letter identification, letter sounds color words, names and writing letters.

Discovery - In our discovery area children have the opportunity to learn cause and effect, measuring and the joys of nature. You'll see playdough, sand, water, grains, gak, goop, pasta and other interesting items in our sensory tables. The children participate in making and exploding volcanoes, looking at discovery magazines and exploring or growing plants, fruits and vegetables. We learn about the different food groups, the five senses, magnets and so much more.

Music & Movement - We provide experiences in sound and rhythem with voice, instruments and recordings. We enjoy movement with activity tapes, dance, fingerplays, songs and parachute activities.

Dramatic Play - Our dramatic play area encourages self-expression, creativity and role play. Children enjoy acting out moods and feelings in a social setting.
